Snokist operates four facilities in Central Washington to meet the needs of our growers and customers.
Terrace Heights
Located just east of the city of Yakima, the Snokist cannery in Terrace Heights is one of the most modern and versatile processing facilities on the west coast. Over 50,000 tons of apples, cherries, pears, and prunes are processed, stored and distributed from this plant each year.
We case, label and ship products for our own Snokist products as well as products for private labels, including major grocery chains and food service operations, for distribution domestically and overseas. Our high-speed labeling equipment operates year-round to meet the demands of our customers.
Mead Avenue
The Mead Avenue facility is located in the city of Yakima and operates year-round for growers from Yakima, East Valley, West Valley and Ellensburg, WA. This plant is used as a receiving station and CA storage for all fruit from the upper Yakima Valley before the fruit heads to our processing facility in Terrace Heights.
Sawyer
Located just outside of Wapato, WA, the Sawyer facility is open year-round to service Snokist growers from the lower Yakima Valley. This plant is used as a receiving station and CA storage for all fruit from the southern end of the Yakima Valley before the fruit heads to our processing facility in Terrace Heights.
Naches
This seasonal facility is open from July through October to receive fruit from growers in the Naches Valley, Tieton, Cowiche and Selah. After being received in Naches, the fruit heads to one of our storage facilities before being processed at our Terrace Heights plant.
In addition to these facilities, Snokist has established forward warehouses to enable quick distribution for our customers in the Midwest, Southwest and Northeastern sections of the United States.
Our canning capabilities stretch from 8 oz. cans to 55-gallon drums, along with a variety of single serving cups and plastic and glass containers. Our facility has the versatility to handle any packaging requirement for your product.
